Night Manager – Retail Store Leadership

About the role

As a Night Manager at Asda you will lead the night team to keep the store running smoothly while the rest of the world sleeps. You are responsible for maintaining high shop‑floor standards, product availability and a safe environment across all departments during the overnight shift.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor during the night, ensuring deliveries are rotated and waste/returns are managed correctly.
• Lead, coach and develop night colleagues and team leaders to deliver excellent standards and a customer‑focused culture.
• Prepare the store for the day shift by ensuring promotions, foyer displays and high‑traffic areas are ready and presentable.
• Oversee replenishment, limit damage and manage inventory processes for a 24‑hour operation.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages ownership, resilience and the “Asdaness” in every team member.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising or managing teams in a retail grocery setting, preferably overnight.
• Ability to make independent decisions with a hands‑on attitude and a drive to improve processes.
• Confidence in developing teams, managing change and delivering strong customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of night shifts, including weekends.
