Night Replenishment, Supermarket Assistant Christmas

About the role

Westbury Park Waitrose in Gloucestershire is looking for a Supermarket Assistant for Christmas, working night shifts (22:45 to 07:00) three nights a week. The role covers shop-keeping tasks such as stock replenishment and order fulfilment, alongside customer service. Pay is £13.00, rising to £13.25 after 90 days, with a night premium of £3.75 per hour for work between 22:00 and 06:00.

Key responsibilities

• Stock replenishment, keeping shelves full and products in the right place at the right time.
• Fulfill online customer orders ready for delivery to customers' doors.
• Reduce wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns on items approaching sell-by dates.
• Support the wider shop team, including checkout support, Click & Collect orders and on-demand orders.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.

Required profile

• Applicants must be 18 years or over due to working time regulations.
• Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.
• Desirable: experience in a customer-facing role, up-to-date knowledge of food and drink trends, and a flexible approach to supporting the whole branch.
