Night Senior Care Assistant

About the role

Join Agincare as a Night Senior Care Assistant at Victory Care Home in Chatham. You will provide person‑centred care throughout the night shift, supporting vulnerable residents aged 65+ and ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care such as bathing, dressing and oral hygiene according to residents' preferences.
• Conduct and contribute to care reviews, updating care plans to reflect individual needs.
• Administer medication safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Lead and participate in social activities, outings and engagement programmes during the night.
• Support and mentor new or existing staff through shadowing and development, and step in to lead the home when senior managers are unavailable.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
• Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 and working towards or holding NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• At least two years’ experience in a social‑care setting, preferably with vulnerable adults over 65.
• Demonstrable knowledge of dementia care and strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work the night shift (8 pm – 8 am) including alternative weekends.
