Night Shift Care Assistant – Residential Care Home

About the role

As a Care Assistant at Crandon Springs care home in Wells, you will support residents to enjoy each day by providing high-quality personal care and companionship. The position is night‑shift only, working 8 pm‑8 am for four nights a week, including alternate weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with food, drink and personal hygiene according to individual care plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one time and emotional support, fostering a warm and safe environment.
• Follow care plans and document observations accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe living area throughout the night shift.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older people.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Empathy and a warm‑hearted approach to delivering high‑standard care.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of personal care techniques.
• Ability to follow written care plans and record keeping.
