Night Shift Cleaner – Carlisle

About the role
Join the facilities team at Royal Mail in Carlisle as a night‑shift Cleaner. You will help maintain high hygiene standards across a busy sorting centre, working the 11 pm – 7 am shift from Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities
- Clean operational areas including sorting floors, staff rest areas, toilets and offices.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards in high‑traffic environments.
- Follow COSHH and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Complete routine cleaning checklists and report any site needs.
- Work both as part of a cleaning team and independently across large areas.
Required profile
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential – training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions.
- Reliability and good time‑keeping.

What we offer
- Pay rate: £12.71 per hour (visible to candidates).
- Shift: 11 pm – 7 am, Monday‑Friday.
- Temporary assignment of 2‑3 weeks, with the possibility of extension.
