Night Shift Maintenance Engineer – £49,006 salary

About the role

We are seeking a Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our night shift team at a market‑leading manufacturing site. You will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring plant reliability, safety and product quality while supporting high overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Key responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on electrical and mechanical plant.
• Diagnose and resolve faults across a range of equipment to minimise downtime.
• Support OEE targets through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with production teams to improve efficiency and maintain high operational standards.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained in engineering (non‑negotiable).
• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy‑industrial environment (desirable).
• Welding experience (MIG/TIG) or exposure to machine‑shop equipment such as lathes and mills (desirable).
• Strong understanding of continuous improvement and OEE concepts (desirable).
