Night Support Worker - Children's Homes

About the role
Join a dedicated team providing overnight care in a children’s home. You will be the first point of contact for young people during the night, offering calm, compassionate support when they need it most.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 24‑hour supervision and emotional support to residents during night shifts (4 on / 4 off).
- Respond promptly to any resident who wakes upset, ill, or experiencing trauma.
- Build trusting relationships so residents feel safe and heard.
- Complete night‑time administrative duties such as paperwork, cleaning, and laundry.
- Maintain a safe, tidy environment throughout the shift.
Required profile
- Strong empathy and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliability and excellent attendance record.
- Willingness to work night hours on a rotating schedule.
- Commitment to the wellbeing and development of young people.
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required; caring attitude is essential.
