Night Warehouse Operative – 4 nights on/4 nights off

About the role

We are seeking a Night Warehouse Operative to join our Slough facility on a 4‑nights‑on, 4‑nights‑off pattern (19:00‑07:00). The role involves handling a variety of cargo, operating forklift equipment and supporting the warehouse team during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Manual handling of perishable, chilled, frozen and ambient goods.
• Operate counter‑balance forklift trucks (1.5 t‑8 t) to load and unload vans, articulated trucks and other vehicles.
• Pick, pack, split and sort shipments according to instructions.
• Build, stack and manage aircraft pallet stocks, logging movements in the warehouse management system and generating paperwork.
• Maintain accurate paper and electronic stock records.
• Collaborate with the office team and follow supervisor directives.
• Ensure a clean, safe and well‑kept warehouse environment.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of warehousing experience.
• Previous experience in the freight industry is desirable.
• Valid B1 forklift licence (B2 preferred but not essential).

Required skills

• Forklift operation (counter‑balance trucks).
• Ability to use warehouse computer systems for stock tracking.
