Nightshift CNC Machinist – High Precision Manufacturing

About the role
Our client, an international design and manufacturing organisation with 70 years of history, is expanding its night‑shift capability at a site on the outskirts of Edinburgh. They are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to work the night shift, Monday to Thursday, 19:00‑07:00 (46 hours per week).
Key responsibilities
- Set‑up, programme and operate a range of CNC machines to produce high‑quality parts.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and develop repeatable, efficient machining solutions.
- Maintain precision tolerances across a variety of materials in a high‑volume environment.
- Support and develop less experienced team members.
Required profile
- Extensive knowledge of CNC programming languages such as Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhain and Siemens (training provided for limited experience).
- Proven experience manufacturing high‑precision components.
- Background in high‑volume production settings.
- Ability to read and translate detailed technical drawings.
