NOC Engineer – 24/7 Shift (London)

About the role

Our client, a leading Managed Service Provider serving global hedge funds, investment firms and banks, is seeking a NOC Engineer to join their 24/7 operations team. The role is based near Wembley in a datacentre environment and follows a rotating day and night shift pattern.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and prioritize incoming NOC tickets and system alerts, escalating when necessary.
• Watch over a wide range of infrastructure including servers, networks, firewalls, cloud services, applications and datacentre environments.
• Respond promptly to incidents, outages and performance issues, tracking each incident through to resolution.
• Document all updates accurately and communicate status to customers, internal teams and third‑party suppliers.
• Perform basic datacentre tasks such as server racking, hardware installation and network patching.
• Support a critical 24/7 operational environment to ensure high service availability.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a 2nd line support role.
• Strong incident management and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency with the latest Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with cloud backup solutions.
• Prior NOC experience is desirable.
• Comfortable working in a shift‑based schedule.
