Non-Food Manager – Retail Store

About the role

As a Non‑Food Manager you will oversee the George and GM departments in a busy Asda superstore, ensuring high product availability, excellent shop‑floor standards and a safe environment for customers and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute all trading activity on the shop floor, meeting availability targets and key performance metrics.
• Lead, coach and develop a team to improve routines, processes and sales performance.
• Ensure promotional and seasonal events are delivered on brief, on time and with correct labeling.
• Drive initiatives to reduce waste, manage shrink and improve overall department efficiency.
• Foster a culture of customer‑focused service, empathy and ownership.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Operational knowledge of non‑food departments, including availability, waste reduction and shrink management.
• Proven ability to develop teams, manage change and build resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
