About the role
This 12‑week, part‑time (12 hours per week) remote programme offers insight into leading a nonprofit organisation. Participants will gain hands‑on experience in advocacy, fundraising, recruitment and marketing while supporting The Borgen Project’s mission to combat global poverty.
Key responsibilities
- Advocacy: meet with local government representatives, represent The Borgen Project at events and mobilise supporters for poverty‑reduction legislation.
- Fundraising: design and launch a personal fundraising campaign and strive to meet set targets.
- Recruitment: update job postings, promote openings to groups and classes, and observe interview processes.
- Marketing & Promotion: pitch story ideas to media, manage social‑media channels and develop web‑based messaging strategies.
Required profile
- Passion for fighting poverty and supporting vulnerable communities.
- No prior experience required; openness to learning and commitment of 12 hours per week.
- Ability to work remotely and meet programme deadlines.
