NQ+ Private Client Solicitor

About the role

Our client is seeking an ambitious NQ+ Private Client Solicitor to join their established office in Saffron Walden, Essex. The role involves handling a full spectrum of private client matters, from wills and trusts to probate, tax planning and high‑net‑worth estate administration.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake fee‑earning work both independently and as part of a team, contributing profitably to the department.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business.
• Draft wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and manage trust and estate administration.
• Handle court of protection, deputyship and related probate matters.
• Meet personal and team targets, adhere to audit and quality standards.
• Control cash flow for own matters, including billing and collections.
• Assist in developing the Private Client department in Salisbury.

Required profile

• NQ+ qualified solicitor with strong technical knowledge of private client law.
• Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients.
• Excellent communication and client‑service skills.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Professional appearance and a positive, friendly manner.

Required skills

• Strong IT proficiency.
