NQ Property Litigation Solicitor

About the role

This position is for a newly qualified solicitor to join a highly regarded litigation department in Exeter. You will work on a diverse portfolio of property disputes, supporting corporate clients, retailers, landowners, developers and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all stages of property litigation, from initial advice to trial.
• Handle disputes relating to development land, property contracts, telecoms, and landlord‑tenant matters such as dilapidations, break notices, forfeiture and breach of lease covenants.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic advice to senior partners.
• Liaise with clients, opposing counsel and external experts.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (NQ) or legal executive with recent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience or strong interest in property litigation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UK property law and litigation procedures.
• Experience drafting legal documents for property disputes.
• Research proficiency using legal databases.
