NQ Solicitor – Property & Policy Coverage

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a newly‑qualified solicitor to join its Property and Policy Coverage team. You will manage a high volume of household and commercial property recovery files for leading insurers, providing technical legal advice and building client relationships through training and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Initial review and reporting of recovery files
• Handling disclosure, reviewing evidence and conducting investigations
• Instructing counsel and experts, and managing ADR processes including mediation
• Legal research, drafting pleadings, Part 36 offers and pre‑action applications
• Attending conferences, trials and court appointments, both in person and by telephone
• Liaising with insurer clients, senior claims handlers and lay parties
• Negotiating settlements and preparing trial documents

Required profile

• Previous experience in a defendant insurance litigation firm
• Specific litigation experience in property recoveries (household and commercial)
• Strong ability to prioritise workload and pay attention to detail
• Experience working with case management systems
• Professional conduct in line with SRA Standards & Regulations
