Nuclear Trainer & Skills Coach

About the role
We are seeking an experienced engineer or technician to transition from hands‑on shift work into a dedicated training and development position. You will use your real‑world nuclear, electrical and mechanical expertise to coach the next generation of engineers and apprentices.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 engineering apprenticeship programmes covering electrical principles, mechanical fault finding and safe systems of work.
- Coach and mentor apprentices, breaking down complex technical concepts into practical, workshop‑based learning.
- Assess competence, track progress against apprenticeship standards and prepare learners for End Point Assessment.
- Maintain strict health, safety and quality compliance throughout all training activities.
Required profile
- Level 3 engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or Multi‑Skilled).
- Significant hands‑on experience in a safety‑critical, regulated environment such as nuclear, defence or power generation.
- Natural ability to coach or mentor others, with willingness to obtain assessor and teaching qualifications.
