Nurse Functional Assessor – Flexible Working

About the role
As a Nurse Functional Assessor you will use your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life. Working with complex physical, mental health and chronic pain cases, you will help customers move forward while receiving tailored training and ongoing mentorship.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to determine the effect of health conditions on daily activities.
- Produce Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support benefit eligibility decisions.
- Apply clinical knowledge in a new setting, providing detailed written reports and receiving regular feedback and supervision.
Required profile
- Valid NMC registration number.
- Minimum 1 year of post‑registration adult or mental health nursing experience, within or outside the NHS.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software for report writing.
