About the role

The NHS Scotland Minor Injury Clinic in Edinburgh is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to lead a practitioner‑led service. Working in an acute hospital environment, you will provide high‑quality, personalised nursing care to patients presenting with minor injuries, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients with minor injuries in the clinic.
• Deliver and maintain optimal care outcomes, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
• Act as a clinical role model, motivating staff to uphold high standards of care.
• Provide expert advice to patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team.
• Develop and deliver specialist education and training programmes for healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a valid PVG Scheme membership and meet all regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with appropriate professional registration.
• Current PVG Scheme membership for the relevant regulatory group (adult and/or child).
• Ability to work autonomously in a practitioner‑led clinic without on‑site medical supervision.
