Nursery Assistant – Early Years Support

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a caring Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming primary school’s on‑site nursery in Bristol. You will support children aged 3‑4 in a safe, creative and nurturing environment, helping them learn through play and daily routines.
Key responsibilities
- Support children in daily routines, play and early learning activities.
- Assist nursery staff with planned lessons and free‑flow learning.
- Create a warm, safe and stimulating environment.
- Help with personal care routines when required.
- Encourage positive behaviour and social development.
- Communicate effectively with staff and pupils.
- Maintain safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
Required profile
- Experience working with children (early years experience desirable but not essential).
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
- Right to work in the UK.
