Nursery Assistant – Flexible Ad‑hoc Hours in Islington

About the role

We are seeking caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join a well‑established early years setting in Islington. This ad‑hoc position offers flexible shifts that can be arranged around your personal availability, allowing you to support children aged 0‑4 while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0‑4.
• Create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment.
• Assist with play‑based learning and age‑appropriate activities.
• Help with daily routines including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Cache Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential).
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Warm, caring and energetic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting early learning and development.

• Childcare qualification (Cache Level 2 or Level 3).
