About the role

We are looking for a caring Nursery Assistant to join our early years team in Headingley, Leeds. You will support the daily care and learning of young children, helping them explore, play and develop in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist qualified teachers in delivering high‑quality early years education.
  • Engage children in play‑based activities, indoor and outdoor learning.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom setting.
  • Support children’s personal care needs, including feeding and toileting.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and staff about children’s progress.

Required profile

  • Friendly, patient and nurturing personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop in early years education.
  • Experience with young children is desirable but not essential.
