Nursery Assistant

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join our teams across Beckenham, Bromley and Croydon. You will work in a vibrant early‑years setting, supporting children’s daily routines and contributing to a warm, safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursery staff in maintaining a clean, safe and stimulating environment for children.
• Support activities and engage with children across three key age groups.
• Help with meal times, snacks and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Report any incidents or concerns regarding children’s wellbeing.
• Follow the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare.
• Valid Paediatric First Aid certification.
• Clean DBS check on the update service.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to provide passport documentation.
• Minimum age of 18 and at least five current references.
• Local residence or willingness to travel to Beckenham, Bromley and Croydon.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, demanding environment.

What we offer

• Hourly rate between £13.50 and £17.50, paid weekly.
• Flexible full‑day shifts from 8 am to 6 pm.
