Nursery Assistant – Primary School Nursery (Bristol)

About the role

We are looking for a caring Nursery Assistant to join a primary school’s on‑site nursery in Bristol. You will help create a safe, stimulating environment for 3‑4‑year‑olds and support the early years team in delivering play‑based learning.

Key responsibilities

• Support children with daily routines, play and early learning activities.
• Assist nursery staff in delivering planned lessons and free‑flow learning.
• Create a warm, safe and stimulating environment.
• Provide personal care routines when needed.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social development.
• Communicate effectively with staff and pupils.
• Maintain safeguarding standards at all times.

Required profile

• Experience working with children (early years experience desirable but not essential).
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
