Nursery Assistant – Sandbach (ASAP start)

About the role
We are looking for a Nursery Assistant to join a private nursery in Sandbach on an ASAP basis. You will work in a safe, secure and fun environment, supporting children’s development across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key responsibilities
- Assist the lead practitioner in delivering daily activities and learning sessions.
- Supervise and engage children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Support the preparation and clean‑up of meals, play areas and learning resources.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and observations in line with EYFS requirements.
- Help with health, hygiene and safeguarding procedures, including DBS checks.
Required profile
- Passion for working with children and a genuine interest in early years education.
- Strong communication skills and a sense of humour.
- Understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Previous experience in childcare, early years settings or social care.

- Competitive hourly rate of £14.24‑£16.
- Weekly pay with a scale increase after 12 weeks (AWR).
