Nursery Assistant – September start

About the role

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join welcoming early years settings in Croydon. This role starts in September and offers the chance to support children aged 0‑5 in a safe, stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the daily care, learning and development of children aged 0‑5.
• Assist in planning and delivering engaging, play‑based activities.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment for all children.
• Promote children’s social, emotional and physical development.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience with young children in a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or a related field is highly desirable.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude towards children’s development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
