Nursery Cover Staff – Day‑to‑Day (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Nursery Cover Staff to provide day‑to‑day support in a vibrant early years setting. This temporary position offers flexible hours for candidates with a Level 3 Early Years qualification who are keen to make a positive impact on young children’s development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nurturing and educational support to children across multiple age groups.
• Step into various classroom roles as needed to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Plan and lead activities that promote learning, development, and well‑being.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all children.
• Collaborate with permanent staff to implement daily routines and activities.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and individual children’s needs.

Required profile

• Full Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Proven experience working in a nursery or early years environment.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and its application.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing environments.
• Position is not open to overseas candidates.
