Nursery Deputy Manager

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures.
• Oversee planning, record‑keeping and the preparation of staff and parent meetings.
• Promote strong partnerships with parents, carers and local authorities.
• Maintain professional relationships with regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Stay updated on developments in childcare policy and assist with nursery accounts.

Required profile

• Childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.
• Previous experience managing a room or team within a nursery setting.
• Current First Aid qualification and solid understanding of EYFS.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and ability to work with children safely.
