Nursery Educator & Room Leader (Full/Part Time)

About the role

We are opening a brand‑new nursery in Croydon and are building a passionate team to provide a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment for babies and young children. The role offers both full‑time and part‑time opportunities across a range of positions, from Nursery Educator to Room Leader and Nursery Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Create a safe, stimulating environment where children can learn, develop and thrive.
• Deliver high‑quality care, learning and play experiences in line with the EYFS framework.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Observe, assess and monitor children’s progress and plan next steps.
• Act as a Key Person, maintaining accurate records and partnering with parents.
• Plan and deliver inclusive, developmentally appropriate activities.
• Maintain a clean, organised learning environment and support daily routines.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies.
• For Room Leaders: lead day‑to‑day running of the room, mentor staff and ensure Ofsted readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in early years or childcare.
• Commitment to the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding.
• Ability to build strong relationships with children, families and the wider community.
• Willingness to work flexibly across full‑time and part‑time shifts.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Understanding of safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
• Experience with record‑keeping and parent partnership.
• Ability to plan and deliver inclusive activities.
