Nursery Manager – Chafford Hundred

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Nursery Manager to lead our early years setting in Chafford Hundred. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality childcare, ensuring safety and safeguarding, and fostering a supportive environment for children, families and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a team of early years practitioners to achieve outstanding educational outcomes.
• Maintain the highest standards of childcare, health, safety and safeguarding in line with Ofsted requirements.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations including staffing, scheduling, compliance and parent communication.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of the setting.
• Manage budgets, resources and administrative duties associated with running the nursery.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Childcare or Early Years.
• Proven experience working in an early years setting, preferably in a managerial capacity.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication abilities.
• Genuine passion for child development and safeguarding.
• Confidence in managing a busy nursery environment and leading a team.
