Nursery Manager – Early Years Leader

About the role

Kindred Nurseries is seeking an experienced early years professional to lead one of its nurseries in Farnsfield. As Nursery Manager you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality childcare and education, supporting staff development and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Deputy Manager, Third in Charge and Room Leaders to maintain high standards of early years care and education.
• Maintain an organised, safe and stimulating nursery environment.
• Keep accurate records and ensure procedures are followed across the nursery.
• Build and maintain the reputation of the nursery as the preferred choice for children and staff.
• Model and monitor best practice in line with regulatory guidelines.
• Inspire and support the team through inductions, mentoring and ongoing development.
• Manage budgets, KPIs, targets and ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
• Oversee safeguarding responsibilities as a shared priority.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an early years setting, preferably in a managerial capacity.
• Strong leadership and people‑development abilities.
• Excellent organisational and record‑keeping skills.
• Ability to meet financial and operational targets.
• Commitment to safeguarding and regulatory compliance.
• Passion for delivering outstanding childcare and education.
