Nursery Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead an established day nursery in Hertford Heath. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with the EYFS framework, and fostering a nurturing environment for children and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall operation of the nursery, maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
• Lead, coach and evaluate a team of early years professionals.
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• GCSE Maths (or equivalent) or similar academic baseline.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Proven experience leading a team in an early years setting.
• Passion for high‑quality early years education and continuous professional development.
