Nursery Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead CherryVale Nursery, a well‑established early years setting in Ash Vale. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, education and safety while fostering a positive environment for children, families and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team.
• Ensure compliance with the EYFS framework and safeguarding regulations.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and the local community.
• Drive occupancy rates and overall nursery performance.
• Prepare for and manage Ofsted inspections.
• Support staff wellbeing and professional development.
• Promote a positive, professional team culture.

Required profile

• Full Level 3 Childcare qualification.
• Previous experience managing a nursery.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding.
• Proven experience leading early years teams.
• Passion for delivering high‑quality childcare and education.
• Desirable: Level 5 qualification in Childcare, Leadership or Management and a track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
