Nursery Manager – North London

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our North London childcare centre. The role involves overseeing daily operations, maintaining high standards of early years provision, and supporting the professional development of the nursery team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and develop nursery staff to ensure effective team performance.
• Design and implement educational programmes that promote early childhood development.
• Oversee enrolment, attendance, health and safety protocols and overall daily operations.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and carers regarding children’s progress and centre activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and childcare regulations.
• Manage budgets, resources and supplies to support smooth functioning of the nursery.
• Organise staff rotas, training sessions and professional development opportunities.
• Foster an inclusive, welcoming environment that supports the wellbeing of children and staff.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality of care.

Required profile

• Proven management experience within a nursery or early childhood setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Extensive hands‑on experience working directly with children.
• In‑depth knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards and early years curriculum frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, staff and external agencies.
• Valid driving licence is desirable.

What we offer

• Salary £32,000 – £35,000 per annum.
