About the role
We are seeking a caring Nursery Nurse to join our team at a central Leeds nursery school. The role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment where young children can learn and develop.
Key responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in delivering an engaging curriculum.
- Assist children with daily routines such as feeding, dressing and toileting.
- Supervise playtime and structured activities, ensuring safety.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about child progress.
- Provide support for children with special needs or disabilities.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the lead teacher or school administration.
Required profile
- Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of child development and early education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting young children’s growth and wellbeing.
