Nursery Practitioner – Early Years Care

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early years team in North London. You will provide high‑quality care and education for young children while contributing to a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities that support learning and development.
• Supervise daily routines including play, meals, rest periods and outdoor time.
• Maintain health and safety standards to ensure children’s well‑being at all times.
• Record children’s progress and behaviour, reporting concerns to senior staff or parents.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues through effective communication.
• Manage classroom resources, keeping the environment clean and organised.
• Support induction and mentoring of new staff or interns.
• Contribute to the development of nursery policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a nursery or early childhood setting (essential).
• Familiarity with Montessori, Forest School or similar approaches (desirable).
• Demonstrable management or leadership experience within childcare (highly desirable).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Valid driving licence preferred for multi‑site travel.

Required skills

• Knowledge of early years educational standards and curricula.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations for childcare environments.
