Nursery Room Leader – Balham

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a brand‑new, purpose‑built nursery in Balham. You will lead the room from day one, shaping its culture and delivering high‑quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the assigned nursery room.
• Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences that support children’s development.
• Lead, motivate and support Nursery Practitioners within the room.
• Monitor observations, assessments and each child’s learning journey.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently applied.
• Maintain high standards of practice, compliance and professionalism.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years or Childcare.
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Passion for delivering outstanding childcare and supporting team development.
