Nursery Room Leader

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Nursery Room Leader to manage the day‑to‑day operations of an allocated room within our client’s bespoke nursery. You will create a happy, safe and stimulating environment where children can explore, play and learn.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the assigned nursery room, ensuring high standards of care and hygiene.
• Plan and deliver a range of age‑appropriate learning activities that support children’s holistic development.
• Monitor and record children’s progress, health and safety requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
• Maintain compliance with safeguarding policies, including completing an enhanced DBS check.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in early years or childcare.
• Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong understanding of child development stages and learning needs.
• Ability to create a warm, positive atmosphere for children and staff.
