Nursery Room Leader - Term Time

About the role

We are seeking an inspiring early years professional to lead a nursery room on a term‑time basis. In this role you will shape a magical learning environment where children thrive through play, curiosity and wellbeing‑focused activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the room team to deliver outstanding childcare and education.
• Create a warm, welcoming and stimulating setting that encourages each child to flourish.
• Plan and deliver engaging, child‑led activities that reflect interests and support individual development.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Champion the nursery’s ethos of mindfulness, outdoor learning and child‑led discovery.
• Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety.
• Support learning in line with the EYFS framework while embracing the Little Lumos approach.

Required profile

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or higher).
• Previous experience leading a nursery room or readiness to step into a leadership role.
• Passion for delivering exceptional early years education.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Kind, positive and professional leadership style.
• Belief that children learn best through play, exploration and meaningful experiences.
• Enthusiasm for wellbeing, outdoor learning and creating magical daily moments.
