Nursery Teaching Assistant – Flexible Summer Work

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistants to provide flexible, short‑term support across a variety of nursery settings in Medway during the summer holidays. This role offers the chance to work in different environments, covering staff absences and last‑minute sickness, while helping children learn, play and thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality support to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing nursery environment.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and learning sessions as needed.
• Cover planned staff absences and respond to short‑notice staffing gaps.
• Maintain clear communication with each nursery team and follow safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Genuine passion for early childhood development.
• Flexibility to work on an ad‑hoc basis, often at short notice.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
