About the role
Join Newstaff Employment’s friendly supply team as a Nursery Teaching Assistant. You will be matched with welcoming nurseries across South East England, working the days that suit your availability – from one day a week up to full‑time.
Key responsibilities
- Assist qualified nursery teachers in delivering daily activities and learning experiences.
- Support children’s wellbeing, safety, and developmental needs.
- Help maintain a clean, stimulating, and safe environment in the classroom.
- Provide flexible cover for short‑term or long‑term staffing needs.
Required profile
- Experience working with children, preferably in a nursery or Early Years setting (not essential).
- Level 1, 2 or 3 Nursery or teaching assistant qualification (ideally but not essential).
- A positive, reliable and nurturing approach.
- Awareness of safeguarding requirements.
- Compassionate, enthusiastic and caring nature.

- Competitive hourly pay ranging from £13.50 to £15.00.
