Nursery Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Salford)

About the role

This full‑time position supports the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team in a 2‑form entry primary school in Salford. You will work in the Nursery classroom, delivering targeted interventions in Maths and English and helping children develop phonics skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the EYFS team in planning and delivering daily activities.
• Run small‑group intervention sessions for Maths and English.
• Support phonics instruction and reinforce the Early Years curriculum.
• Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to children as needed.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.

Required profile

• Good understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
• Early Years qualification (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent).
• Recent relevant experience in a primary school or working with young children.
• Availability for the full academic year on a full‑time basis.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS disclosure (and overseas police checks if applicable).
• Professional references.
