About the role
Join the dedicated nursing team on Ward 10 at Manchester University Hospitals. As a Nursing Assistant you will provide compassionate, hands‑on care to patients, supporting their daily living activities and contributing to a high‑quality, patient‑focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as mobilising, toileting, bathing, dressing, and eating/drinking.
- Record patient observations and report any changes in condition to the supervising Registered Nurse.
- Deliver delegated clinical duties in line with Trust guidelines and protocols.
- Work flexibly across day and night shifts, seven days a week, as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in on‑the‑job training and competency assessments.
Required profile
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients and their families.
- Ability to communicate sensitively with patients, relatives, and team members.
- Willingness to work varied shift patterns and adapt to a fast‑paced hospital setting.
- Commitment to follow Trust policies and uphold patient safety standards.
Required skills
- Basic clinical observation recording.
- Fundamental personal care techniques.
