Nursing Assistant - Ward 10

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Nursing Assistants to join our multidisciplinary team on Ward 10 at Manchester University Hospitals. You will play a vital part in delivering high‑quality, patient‑focused care across day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care including mobilising, toileting, bathing, dressing, eating and drinking.
• Record patient observations and report changes in condition to the supervising Registered Nurse.
• Assist with delegated clinical tasks following training and Trust protocols.
• Communicate sensitively with patients, relatives and the wider healthcare team.
• Work flexibly across a 7‑day roster, covering both day and night shifts.

Required profile

• Demonstrated compassion and a caring attitude towards patients and families.
• Ability to work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and follow Trust guidelines.
• Willingness to work flexible shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
