Nurture Teacher (SEND) – Secondary School

About the role
We are recruiting a Nurture Teacher for a brand‑new SEND secondary school serving pupils aged 11‑16. The role involves delivering high‑quality, inclusive lessons to students with autism, complex learning difficulties and emotional‑regulation needs.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver a creative curriculum aligned with the national curriculum and tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate closely with a multi‑disciplinary team to plan short‑, medium‑ and long‑term lessons.
- Set, review and monitor individual learning targets; produce progress reports for parents and statutory bodies.
- Contribute to EHCPs, PEPs, LAC reviews and annual reviews.
- Maintain a structured, engaging learning environment and manage behaviour in line with school policy.
- Provide flexible support across the school as required.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in SEND settings, particularly with autism spectrum conditions.
- Ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
- Understanding of ASC and SEMH needs.
