Occupational Disease Solicitor – Newly Qualified

About the role
We are seeking a newly qualified solicitor to join our Occupational Disease team in Birmingham. The role offers the chance to work within a nationally recognised casualty practice, handling a variety of occupational disease claims for major insurer clients.
Key responsibilities
- Assist senior lawyers on complex, high‑value litigation involving Noise Induced Hearing Loss and asbestos‑related claims.
- Take ownership of your own files, managing the full lifecycle of occupational disease cases.
- Review medical reports and expert evidence to support claim assessments.
- Provide advice on Employer’s Liability and Public Liability matters.
- Collaborate closely with a fast‑paced, client‑focused team.
Required profile
- Qualified solicitor (or senior paralegal) with experience in defendant personal injury or occupational disease litigation.
- Familiarity with employer’s liability and public liability claims.
- Strong analytical ability to assess medical and expert evidence.
- Motivation to develop technical expertise in occupational disease law.
Required skills
- Legal research and case analysis.
- Drafting and reviewing litigation documents.
- Effective communication with clients and experts.
