Occupational Health Nurse – Construction Projects

About the role

The leading UK residential developer is looking for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to provide health, wellbeing and safety support across multiple construction sites in the Home Counties. The role combines regular on‑site visits with strategic occupational health advice and collaboration with senior management at head office.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver occupational health services across a portfolio of live construction projects.
• Conduct health surveillance programmes and fitness‑for‑work assessments in line with statutory and company requirements.
• Provide health assessments, return‑to‑work support and advice on workplace adjustments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and occupational health documentation complying with GDPR.
• Liaise with project teams, HR, Health & Safety professionals and external healthcare providers.
• Contribute to wellbeing initiatives, health campaigns and employee engagement programmes.
• Produce reports and recommendations for senior management.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMC registration.
• Occupational health qualification or demonstrable experience in occupational health.
• Experience conducting health surveillance and fitness‑for‑work assessments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a regional workload.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the Home Counties.
