Occupational Therapist (Band 5/6) – SEMH School

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEMH school in Putney, Wandsworth. You will support secondary‑aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition, by delivering evidence‑based assessments and interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group occupational therapy assessments for pupils.
• Develop and implement personalised therapy programmes that promote independence and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff, families and external professionals.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team to remove barriers to learning.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to multidisciplinary case reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration (or eligibility).
• Experience working with children and young people with SEMH, ASC or behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and collaborative working skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain.
