Occupational Therapist – Housing Adaptations (Hybrid)

About the role
Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to work on housing adaptations for Manchester City Council. The role involves assessing individuals in their homes, matching them to suitable adapted properties and supporting them through the rehousing process. It is a hybrid position with a minimum of two office days per week and travel across Greater Manchester on other days.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct home assessments to determine housing adaptation needs.
- Match applicants with available adapted homes and arrange viewings.
- Provide high‑quality advice on rehousing options and support families throughout the process.
- Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Visit children and adults at home to complete medical assessments and priority reports.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive housing outcomes.
Required profile
- Qualified Occupational Therapist (registered).
- Proven experience in housing adaptations and home assessments.
- Ability to manage a caseload and work independently.
- Willingness to travel across Greater Manchester.
- Availability for hybrid working (minimum two days in the office).
