Ocean Import Operator

About the role

Our client, an established freight forwarder, is seeking an Ocean Import Operator to manage the end‑to‑end import process for ocean shipments. The position is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and offers the chance to develop expertise in customs handling and customer service within a dynamic logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the complete ocean import workflow from arrival to delivery.
• Prepare and submit customs documentation ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with carriers, customs authorities, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments and update internal IT systems.
• Provide high‑quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Either a trainee eager to learn or candidates with some to senior experience in ocean imports.
• Strong understanding of customs procedures and import regulations.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
