Offline CNC Miller Programmer

About the role

An opportunity has become available for an experienced 3‑5 Axis Offline CNC Miller Programmer to join an engineering business specialising in medical equipment machining. You will work on one‑off and small‑batch projects machining components from aluminium and plastics.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set and operate 3‑5 Axis CNC milling machines.
• Online programming using Heidenhain and Siemens control systems.
• Offline programming using Hypermill and FeatureCam software.
• Manufacture bespoke and low‑volume precision components.
• Carry out in‑process inspection and quality checks to ensure components meet specifications.

Required profile

• Previous experience programming, setting and operating 3‑5 Axis CNC milling machines.
• Strong control experience with Heidenhain and Siemens systems.
• Proven offline programming experience using Hypermill and FeatureCam.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Excellent understanding of machining processes, materials and tight tolerances.
